Besides Joe and his wife, the Reid family consists of two young and full-of-energy boys, two dogs - Casey and Blue, one tortoise-shell colored cat named Molly, and Herbie, the African grey parrot.

Casey, the elder dog, is helping Joe and the family train Blue. Blue is a black Labrador Retriever mix, was adopted from the Humane Society and recently graduated from puppy kindergarten. Casey is a Border Collie.

Dr. Reid's career highlights:
Acquired Linganore Veterinary Clinic in April 2000   (Formerly, Animal Care Clinic of New Market)
 
Established A-Call-Away Mobile Veterinary Services in 1994 to better meet the county’s needs
 
Launched his career in 1988 as a practice associate in Frederick County
 
Pursued his passion for animals by graduating from the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988
 
Graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1984 with a Bachelors degree in Zoology
